The club is run on a 'not for profit' basis - by a small committee elected every November at the AGM. Coaching is provided by professional coaches, occasionally assisted by senior members.
The club encourages fencers of all abilities and ambitions and prides itself on it's inclusive atmosphere.
Streatham Fencing Club was formed in 1949, from an evening class started the previous year. The club was meeting at the TA Drill Hall on Mitcham Lane in Streatham in the early fifties - it moved to Dunraven School on Leigham Court Road in the mid Sixties where it has been ever since.
